I see a MAX of 25 PSI without the boost elbow... will adding the boost elbow actually give me more HP/TQ or what?

I assume the smaller hole in the elbow makes the wastegate open later thus allowing for more boost...

Any disadvantages to using this thing?

 

I've asked this question a couple of times with no response. I haven't put mine on yet because it's just one more thing to pull off when the truck goes in to the dealership. I'd put it on if it was worth it. The directions say that the EZ box will work equally well with or without it......

 

thats what my instructions said too so i haven't put it on mine yet either , but i have the 2001 and they have a "hard line" on them and i guess they are more difficult to do ??
why do they include them if they make no difference?

 

It's supposed to raise your boost to help control EGT's. I'd do it. If nothing else, so you can hear your turbo spool up to 30 or so psi.
