2nd gen. w/ stacks pics and info!!!

im wanting to put either 6" or 5" mitres on my '02 but i dont know what i want....could anyone post some pics of their stacks. i was also wondering how loud the 6" will be over the 5" with the factory exhaust and is the bigger look worth the difference?

I have 2 6" Mitres in my 97, cut flush to the cab, they give a good rumble...but they're plenty quiet most of the time. If you open the window it reverbs into the cab, so I rarely open the window.

mine are 6" polished stainless steel

Here you go. Mine's an 03 Ram 3500 and I originally had 4" stainless from turbo all the way back to the rear bumper and it wasn't too bad in the cab but I watched it very close when Johnney Law was close by.
Now I have the 4" 90 plumbed into the 6" cross tube and into the verticals and it was SO LOUD I had to put an aftermarket performance muff back on in order to enjoy the stereo!

Anyway, enjoy the pics. All TIG welded stainless.

At least on a 12 valve there is a difference in the tone of a 5" and 6" stack. I had dual 6" turnouts on my first gen and the difference in the tone to going to a 6" stack over the 5" was a deeper mellower, more "big truck" exhaust sound. Not any louder. Make the end of it ABOVE the cab, I dunno why people spend all that money on nice stacks then hide em behind the cab, plus it does make a difference inside the cab of the truck.

Im not sayin make em 5 feet tall, but a couple inches makes a huge difference.

I can hear the motor over the exhaust while cruising.
I can hardly hear them with the windows down. Mine sit at the first stake hole int he bed. That might be way. A LITTLE farther back than most peoples

I don't have a pic of mine. I've got a 6" Bullhorn on mine, just coming straight up the bed.....didn't pull it over the the side. I think it's about a foot or a little more inside the side of the bed. Persoanally the single stack is the way to go!

Go with 6" miters. You'll be glad you did!
