3rd GEN GUY LOOKING FOR 2nd GEN NEED INFO

In market for 2nd gen truck, in general is one year better than others?
Is one year better if upgrading it etc, all input is welcome.

pretty vague wish list, but you have a lot of options!
94-98.5 were 12v trucks, mechanical IP
98.5-02 were 24v trucks, electronic IP control
01.5-02 were rear disc brakes

What are your plans? full race truck? drags? puller? daily driver? trailer towing?
Some of these questions answered will get the right gurus chiming un!

since you got a 3rd gen capable of adjustability, go with the 12valve 98'

96-98 12v manuals have the 215hp 7100 pump and are the best if you want to build a monster.

I personally like 94, 5spd trucks with 175 pump that are bone stock. Maybe that's just me!

wouldnt matter if hes going for all out performance, all the pumps are able to flow when set up. If your not sending it somewhere then Buckshotram is right the 215 is better.
