12v Guy looking at a 3rd Gen

Im looking at a clean 04 auto.....anything I should watch out for??? Thanks guys.

Just the usual that you probably have already learned about. Lift pump.

Welcome to the third gen world. I started with a '93 and loved it, but this '04 is the best vehicle I have ever had. You'll be very happy with a third gen.

When you say '04 I'm assuming you don't mean '04.5. Check the drivers side of the valve cover for the engine specs. 235, 305 or 325. 325 is an '04.5 with a cat. 235 might have a 47RE instead of the 48RE.

I'm also looking at an 04' at the moment and from what I've gathered from my reading on here, Early build 04 auto's were all 305/555 and 48RE combos. 04.5 autos were 325/600 and 48REs as well. Not too sure about the 6spd trucks.
