Re:Air Filter
got my scotty 3 in the mail today. I am going to try to put it in tonight. Might have a hard time reading the directions. They appear to be written in Canadian.

Seems like it is well made. I think you could search for posts by fiverbob to see some comparison #'s

Re:Air Filter
well, toughest 4 minutes I've ever put on the truck. Extremely easy to put in, must mean I did something wrong. Off on a long nice highway trip tomorrow hopefully I won't get any tickets... Pretty sure it has 20 or 30 more HP just sitting there.
BTW Mexstan, barely made it through the install without linguistic help. Anyone not able to decipher Canadian should consider hiring you.

Re:Air Filter
Just don't go lookin' for your air filter at Cummins. Was just there and apparently DC isn't letting cummins distribute them ??? What's up with that?

Interpreting to Yankee speak is cheap, but if any of you want interpretation from Canadian to that strange American southern drawl and slang, well, add about 20% to the cost. Please note; that is 20% US and not 20% Canadian!!!

Re:2003-Air Filter
Padzz, got to spend most of the day on the highway today. Seems to me that the turbo whine is a bit more noticeable, course it could be just wishful thinking. Bit of a whooshing sound at low speed when accelerating. didn't notice much of anything else as I was unloaded today. It will be a couple of more weeks before I tow anything heavy, that is when I hope to notice improvement. Last weekend had to really be somewhere while towing the 5th, hit 1200* a couple of times. That is where I hope to see the most gains. Would like to have it be a bit more secure in the engine bay. Don’t think it will go anywhere, just like things firmly mounted.

Biggest reduction in performance was visual, needs a big SCOTTY 3 on it!
Re:2003-Air Filter
I got an Airaid filter and box (Ebay for a little over 2 bills) and immediately noticed a 1-200 degree drop in EGTs, quicker cool down times, and, maybe just in my head, but better throttle response.

I am working toward a ram air hood, and hope this helps the mix.
