12valve bought a Hot Comp

As some of you know we bought a 01 24v QC SB, for dirt cheap, We wanted to sell it, but it didnt even sell for 7400 bucks...

now we started using it, put on a replacement bumper, put on 1/2 ton coil springs, removed a leaf on the back.... Its a soft ride now, and we dont tow heavy at all, if we ever do...

but the lack of power in the higher gears drove us nuts!!!!!!!

so we bought a Hot comp on ebay now for $390 IS it the same as a drag comp?

This truck's stock as for engine and tranny, except we put on a holley blue pump,

What level could we run on the comp with a stock good auto tranny, till we get something better?

Any level as long as your easy on the go pedal. If your gonna drive it harder dont go above 3x5. I drove mine for about 6 months usually on 3x5 and it held that long. But i was out racing around and doin dumb stuff. And my tranny started slipping on all levels. Good luck.

Thanks!

Lets see what it does! They claim 160 HP...

Another question, I know some people make big HP with only a drag comp, but how much dyno hp does it make with the stock turbo, stock injectors?
and if i was to go with only a bigger turbo? (Stock stix)?

I ask this, cause i see most "more bombed" 24v's they all run bigger sticks!

You can easily get a crazy amount of power in the 24v's by adding stix, box, and turbo. I'm not sure but I would imagine you would be able to get very manageable power by having just a Drag Comp and maybe a turbo such as the Edge Jammer BB. If you wanted a little more you could throw in some RV 275's and have nice cool EGT's, good spool up, and great power for what you want. I'd say 400hp range. Have fun!!

Rv275 will give you about 40 45 hp. If your gonna upgrade the trans and turbo go with some jammer 5 nozzles and you will have cheap but nice power. only thing about jammers are they smoke alot but dirt cheap.
