Slide your current plate forward a little at a time till the egts/smoke get out of control before you try changing plates. Some folks go the reverse route and slide it all the way forward then back it off little by little. Hope you have gauges.
Didn't see a turbo in your sig, if you're running the stock one that may limit the horse power you can achieve with out more air.

Jman 3K's will work in your truck in every situation especially towing, there a must with a 12V just like a timing bump.

Let say a guy wanted to get the most out of his truck and spend the least amount of money.

1. First slide the stock plate and add a boost elbow.........$40.00

2. Add 3k's......$125.00

3. Timing.....$100.00

4. Plate.......$200.00

5. 16cm housing.....$175

6. Tell him to leave it with me and go away so I can do some tricks that I won't show.

Doing #1 and #3 would be a nice 1st step if he wanted to spend a tad more money for the timing job........ just ideas!

Hi again

ya i do have the gauges and runing the stock turbo with the elbow that came with the #12 plate , all so runing the afc spring kit,
i like the way the 3 k kit will keep the fuel on longer, i not to sue about the timing but with a bit of explaning the timing i might have to go that way this week end i running the valves again, and doing a full fluid change , and probley do a bit of plate moving,

i read that the 3 k kit is sort of easy but need fine adjustment, so realy guys how hard is it to install and how would i know if its right
again this site has helped me a lot just now started to get the nurve to post on it
thanks for the help and the info

Stock fuel curve stinks but it works fair so make it work more....(slide forward) ...add a boost elbow to jump the 10 psi of pressure (boost)....too cool it off and burn the fuel, add the timing because they all need it. If you want more fuel then add a plate, if you want more RPM, add the 3K's. Now decide were you want the power because it starts to cost money from here.

Ok, what's a boost elbow? Is 10 psi, stock or what you are boosting it too?

In a nut shell a boost elbow fools the wastegate into thinking something different (it bleeds air off) Normally stock is about 17-18 and the boost elbow will jump it 10 psi or so.
