Why?

Why don't you hear much about about the modern day war hero's?

It seems that the only time that the public hears about these hero's is when they are already dead.

Quite frankly, that is an absolute shame!

Things eventully come full circle. Hero's have always been there and always will be. Unfortunately, we don't pay a attention the way we used to. There are hero's in all walks of life, military, community, corner store, schools and if you look deep, even in an occasional polititian.

Don't give up, things will work out in the end?

Ya, whatever. Keep a positive attitude and don't worry about the huey!
There are a lot of good people out there!

Go big and think positive!!!!!!!

i could talk about heroes ive seen throughout being the marine corps. I can even complement on navy corpsmen, who run into insurgent infested houses to pull out their injured marines. over there, there are hero's everywhere you look, but none of them will be recognized for it, except for their brothers who were there to share in the experience. we know this comes with the territory, and we are used to it though. it still makes me angry when people like jessica lynch get praised for what they did(they gave up with hardly a fight) i guess the army and the marines are two different breeds though, but im not biased, i promise

it angers me too, but if I remember right, most of the people with jessica lynch put up one heck of a fight...
on a lighter note as far as the two services being different breeds, you're right! The Marines are the only service without spec ops units sorry, I just couldn't resist

Hmmm. When I was in we had Force Recon and a Alpha team.
The ones that couldn't pass the mental stability test went on to become Navy Seals.
