Morning y'all.
Quiet here. Lots of aircraft traffic. Sounds like out of LRAFB.
Been alerted for possible deployment south, so sticking around close. Will limit myself to 2 bph.
Bought new chainsaw yesterday. Son had the limb saw (017 Stihl) in the tractor bucket, tipped the bucket, ran over saw. I need a bunch of plastic pieces. Rest of saw didn't get hurt. If anyone has a dead 017 (aka MS170), let's talk a deal.
Slept in till just after 5. Got 2 cups of joe in me. Waiting on daylight to crank saws and get all my neighbors moving.
Breakfast ready.
Later.

Ahhhh lazy Saturday. Cathead biscuits and sausage gravy and two real strong cups of mud .... life is good !!

Broke down and washed the Black Bomber (POS Ford car).
Y'know, no amount of waxing makes rust look any better. Put on the new seat covers that wifey sent me. Definately helped the interior. I really need to spend the time trying to find out what is wrong with the oil pump / system but it is so un-godly difficult to get to.

Well, I suppose I better head to the hacienda and try to locate a beer and some grub.

Everyone enjoy your weekend.

Good morning all - - nice to NOT be around Louisianna or SE Texas on this fine morning. We have a little sun trying to poke its head out - - been a couple days of rain and clouds from Rita. That means I have no more excuses for not doing the trimming outside from 5 months of being gone. Fooey, maybe I will just sit and talk to you guys and gals - - more fun. Oh well, whatever.

Have a great one - - or at least safe if you are in the war zone.

Wind blowing from all directions at 25-30. Off and on sprinkles (not the eating kind).
Rain expected to move in around 1500L. 5-8" expected over the next couple of days.
Waiting on the first wetness to light off a 50' x 100' bonfire.
Having a cold one.

Twisty twirly out of the area. Nothing on the ground. Nothing out of place.
Brush pile blazing like a big dog. Smoke fogging neighbors for a mile down the road. The entire 45 acres smells like a smoker.
Weekend beer load out accomplished.
Meat on the smoker.
Daughter at work and OK (concerned/fraidy face). Rest of the kids and g-kids here with us.
4 - 8" of rain expected tonight
Hanging in and hanging on.

SR .... glad you didn't blow away. I hate them things ... tornado's are like in-laws, they don't RSVP to let you know when they are coming, they just show up unannounced and unwelcome . Since you are in the burning mood ... I got a few acres of underbrush that need to go if you have any extra energy .

Went to some palace today (too many around here to keep track of who's it is). Lot's of people soaking up the sunshine and good weather. The best thing about these scenic places is that all the pretty young ladies go there to be photographed in their nice dresses. So.... I am right there with my 4 dollar disposable camera .

Have a great day everybody !!!
