"The Cooler" Sept 05 - Sept 11

Summer's last gasp.
Ya gotta love long weekends.

Some members are working this weekend keeping us safe from enemies both foreign and domestic.
Also, to those folks in the path of the hurricane, stay safe, I hope all your preparations minimize the effects.

Keep all these folks in your prayers.

As for the rest of us, kick back, reeeelax, throw some raw meat on the grill, pop a cool beverage of your choice, and enjoy.

Monday will come on Tuesday this week.

Ed

Don't Drink & Drive.
You don't want to meet this guy like this.

Baby backs already slow cooking with an extremely wonderful sweet rub, fridge freshly stocked with 12oz bottles of goodness.

Hope everyone has a safe and happy long weekend, it won't be long till someone starts the "What's the best additive to keep my #02 from gellin'?" thread...

I can assure you it won't start from this part of the world...

Whew ... getting a little windy out here again. Nice and sunny with a good breeze one minute and then blowing your socks off the next !!!
I saw a few broken branches and some smaller banana trees blown over but nothing compared to our neighbors to the north. I hope they are hangin' in there.

Scotty, I have some room under the air conditioner whenever you want to get away from the cold .... my teeth are chattering just thinking about snow. Still in the low 90's here.

Enjoy your bbq everyone ... I have to chase mine down the road .

Arrrrrgh!!!!
Monday came on Tuesday this week.

On the bright side, Friday is one day closer.

Waiting to see the fallout from a 1st LT.'s attempt Friday @ 1500 to drop an "emergency" in my lap on my way out the door.
He'd been putzing around a issue since Wednesday.
"Lack of planning on his part, did NOT make it an emergency on MY part."

Ahhhhh gotta love DWI.

Could be fun.

Be safe

ooopppss...operator error

ahhh, recovering from the "belly up and shovel in" on Sunday. Mass quantities of pork and home-made BBQ sauce.

gettin' the rain here now. Looks like it will be here awhile.

Redleg - Let me know when you have too much salmon to keep . I'll send a Fed-ex pick up request for same day delivery. I have plenty of room in the freezer. I'll ....uuuhhhhhh....store it for ya...

time for some . Be safe and drive carefully - JKE

Dennis - glad you reminded me of the drags. fairly close to the house. I am going to make it if I do not have to work.

Hope to get down there and meet some fellow members...not sure how I will identifiy any of you once away from the truck though ....

I will only make one day. well, if there is test and tune for you guys on Friday night, I may come then and either Satruday or Sunday. Which day will be best? I have no info on who is doing what and when...TIA Hope to see you there. - JKE

EDIT: maybe I should start a new thread for this...

Evenin folks, truck still in sick bay, might be done this weekend.
Hope to have all the parts for the rear end rebuild by Fri.
Tired of looking around for a Dana 80 rear.
Might as well rebuild.
Got 156k out of it, not bad seeing I am always running fully loaded, pulling about 12k everyday.
Hope she holds together one more year.

Any donuts left from this mornin?
Have a fabulous night.
Time for a beverage

Rich

The nice weather has taken a break.
Rain, heavy at times in the forecast.
Reminants of the hurricane that pimp-slapped Florida last weekend.
At least it's only a storm now.

More DWI-related "stuff" going on today.
At least it's "hump" day already.

ssssslurp ahhhhhhh.....Nectar of the gods.

Be safe

Hey ShovelHead - - hang on baby. Please make those things go away. IVAN??? Who is he? I leave town and you let everything go to pot.

Sure glad it didn't get us so far - - was 25 miles south of us on the first one - - 60 miles north on the second one - - where is Ivan going????

Been a little cool up here (Nova Scotia). Was down to 3 degrees two nights ago (about 39 in the states). Cold winds, rain - - hey I came up to stay cool, but this is not what I had in mind. Decided we better start heading south. Leave Sunday for New Brunswick for a few days, then down into Maine and hope to catch some leaf changing. Been a great trip so far. 7000 miles on the Ghost so far and running great.

Hang on, SH and don't let my house blow away.
