The general public can't handle the guages. I had my truck in the shop for new brakes on the rear and I was told the story from my friend because he worked there that when the Mech. took it for a spin he almost lost it pulling out of the shop because all he wanted to see was the Boost guage hit 40 :

I write down the mileage and the amount of diesel(better not say gas ) in my tank everytime I take it into them. I also have them sign that piece of paper. That way, if there are way more miles on it and not as much fuel in it, I have evidence against them.
