Good ol' robinson. We've got a couple of members up that way. Hope it was none of them or no one they knew.
And just for the recored, I use a 1" thick steel rope when I parasail behind our tractor.

That's unfortunate.
I can't say I haven't done similar though. In high school my best friend and I had loads of fun pulling each other behind the 4 wheeler on a kneeboard. Strap yourself on, tie the ski rope to the trailer ball on the 4 wheeler and take off. It was a blast, but it resulted in many a scrapes and bruises.

My Dad graduated high school in Corpus. He and his buddy lived on the beach for a while, and they were big into "skurfing" They took the fin off a surfboard, and tird a ski ropr to the bumper of the dune buggy beetle, and drag the guy through the surf right along the waters edge. He says it got unstable around 45mph or so...
