Kerry's platform????

Can anyone tell me exactly what John Kerry is for in this upcoming election? What is his platform? I have read a lot of stuff from him and his party but still do not have a clear picture of what he intends to do for America if he is elected. I have an even less of an idea how he intends to achieve whatever it is that he wants to do.
All his talk about Viet Nam got old a long time ago. So just what changes does he intend to implement and how is he going to do it and what positive things are supposed to result from said changes?
Not trying to start anything here. I really would like some plain answers, in simple English if that is possible.

Stan his platform is Bush is bad, Kerry is good. He does not say what he will do, except to remove Bush from office. Fill in the blanks, he will agree to it sooner or later. His version of the spoken word is it can all be changed later.

On a serious note, I don't know. I listen to talk radio, constantly, both sides. Listened to the speeches both sides. He did not mention his plans in his acceptance speech, very little on what he plans. He has mentioned raising taxes. He mentioned pulling the troops, then later said he would have gone in anyway. There is a serious shortage of what he stands for, all he ever talks about is negative statements about Bush and his Vietnam Hero status.

I believe that from the beginning the Democratic party realized that they did not have a candidate for 04.

They are banking on Hillary in 08.

Kerry was chosen not because they felt that he would be the best democratic candidate to occupy the position of President. But rather that he might squeak by using his war history, as long as America did not look close at his 1971 history or his senate record. And if they did, and he looses, all the better for Hillary.

His platform????..."If I am elected President, we will change the name of the White House to..... the WAFFLE HOUSE

John Kerry's website is very specific in many issues- I think it more curious that not once was OBLs name mentioned in the RNC convention though- and no real concrete specifics there either-

It wouldn't matter what he said his platform is now ... he's gonna tell us he was against these same things later on. Seems to be what he does best.

Are you kidding, W spent twenty minutes outlining his plans. If you don't listen you can't hear the subject matter.

Bill, I don't know how you stand it. I'm just so tired of hearing about Vietnam and Swift Boats and dental records and war crimes that I can't listen to talk radio on either side any more. Yelling at the radio doesn't even help now. My mind's been made up for months and I'm sick of listening to all this crap. I shut it all down about a week ago, can't wait until November.

You are on to something, wannadiesel! I get tired of the spin. I listen to NPR and constanly am yelling for "CONTEXT!! I want proper CONTEXT!" I am tired of hearing snippets of speeches, edited to change the meaning to what the reporter wants us to hear, not what is actually said. It amazes me that a group of people who are supposed to be unbiased and report the news and events accurately, constantly poison the messages with their own individual point of view. While I know it was a line in a movie, I really liked what Kevin Bacon's attorney character said in A FewGood Men about not being lumped in with a group, but "representing the United States Government, without predjudice or malice." I think I have it correct. (haven't seen that flick in a while...) I would like to think a reporter and the editorial staff would heed the same sentiment, reporting the news accurately, not from a personal point of view. I get so tired of it all.....I guess I better stop before I make myself angry...

He talks about homeland security yet votes to take away our rights to have and carry a gun/rifle or anything that could protect us. He only hunts to get votes...he never hunts just to hunt. The commercials showing him shooting are fake.

I also vote for gun control...me controling the gun not the government.

I just hope the Republicans can learn from this and have the best candidate available.

If hillary becomes president, I become a Mexican or Canadian
