Just Watched 704 Mins of the Best Mini Series Ever Made.....

I wasn't feeling all that well today after being up all night at work and I watched Band Of Brothers for the hundredth time. This is BY FAR the best series ever created for TV or movie. What these guys went through was amazing to say the least. The camaraderie shared between the men of Easy Co. is a bond that I can only imagine. We share it to some extent in the fire service but not to the degree that these men do. It really gives you a new appreciation for the sacrifices made by our men and women in uniform and this past Memorial Day.

I have a special place set up in my “Lounge” dedicated to my Grandfather and his service in WWII.

If you haven’t seen this series then you owe it to yourself and your family to watch it. If nothing else, for historical reference. It brings a tear to my eye every time that I watch it.

The DVD in the set titled "We Stand Alone Together" (where they interview the men of Easy Co.) will bring a tear no matter how "big" a man you are.

I can't watch more than a couple of those at a sitting, they are just too intense.

I've watched the enitre series probably about 5 times. I've got the collectors edition also. Most of the interviews are pretty tough to watch. I can't even imagine what it must have been like. The series is really intense, especially if you have surround sound!

My wife bought it for me for Christmas. We watched one episode each night that week and man was that a great show.

Have a good one.

I watched it several years ago when it came out on the slow nights at work (11PM-7AM shift) but I don't remember it at all.

I watched every episode as it came out on HBO. What still strikes me is the first 2 episodes aired on Sun. Sept. 9/2001. Two days before 9/11. It just makes this series that much more poignant.

Awesome show! I watched it on HBO and was hooked on it. I notice there is another channel on Dish that has it on right now.....can't remember which one though. I think I'm going to buy the DVD's, it's been awhile since I've seen them.
