Calling all CAT mechanics...... My 303 Mini EX mini caught fire.....!!!!
Calling all CAT mechanics..... I lost my right track movement today. I am hoping it was just a hydraulic hose and not the track motor. The fluid hit my exhaust system and went POOOFFFF....!!! Deductible on my insurance is $1000.00 so I am going to look at it myself this weekend.....
I was told that some of the 303 minis had a recall on some, if not all the hydraulic lines having issues with the hydraulic line end popping under pressure. Anyone heard of this??
Any ideas where the right track hydraulic lines are routed? Do I need to pop the cab? Any info would be great. Thanks.........

hydraulic hose end not crimped properly will likely fail. usually blowing the hose off. if the hose isn't inserted deep enough in the fitting or the crimp is not to the correct diameter or the wrong hose end is used with the wrong type hose.
doesn't help you much now, but its entirely possible a whole batch of hoses was misscrimped for some reason from the factory. I'd be more concerned about the fire melting the wireing harness than the track motor.
