Journalist & Camera Man Injury

Anyone else getting tired of hearing about these two? It's getting to the point that it is offensive. Servicemen & Women are being KILLED in the line of duty everday, and the media has the nerve to run 8-10 minute pieces on these guy's injuries?

What is really sick is the best they can do for the fallen soliders is 15-30 second "blips" on the way into commercials.

I bet these Journalists are earning 10 times E-2 over there. The media up that close to the action has been asking for trouble all the way back to Desert Shield. If they are going to have to cover their injuries so closely, maybe they out to just ship them home?

Is it me?

The news media is always fascinated by itself. Remember the big story after the WV mine tragedy was about the media, not the miners who were lost or the familes they left behind - as was the big story after the media screwed up coverage of the last two presidential elections.

I have no sympathy for those guys. They went over there to get famous by covering the big story. They got more than they bargained for - and now they can make even more money and get more exposure by writing books about getting wounded "in action".

If they survive...., remember that what their bosses do is not necessarily what their wives and children want. They still have them (families) that is. So while they are no better then our service men, they are no worse either

Nope not just you...I hate that they seem to think these two are more important or their lives are more precious than the hundreds of military men and women that have been injured this past months....it sickens me.

you watch there will be outcry for better protection for newspeople even though they are going there to "get in the fight" and get the sensationlist story. i guess he got the story.....

I would hope this would open a conduit for the plight of our military and the conditions they endure over there for the defense of freedom and one that they volunteered to defend when they took the Oath of Enlistment or accepted their Commissions. Likely they will come back war heros to the LEFT....and more poor soldiers, airmen, sailors and Marines will be forgotten faces with nothing to record their plight other than blood stained sheets and prescriptions for pain killers and rehab.

God Bless our troops...and the ones that went before us.

One other thing, (God I hope this doesn't make me a Republican or something), you know whats really sick? There were some producers in a back room today discussing how if these guys make it they will be able to make a 2 hr. 20/20 special on their ordeal.

I swear, at least three times a week I have to change the channel because the "cliff hanger" that the anchor says before a commercial is so queer that I refuse to even watch the commercials, let alone stay tuned for their nonsense.

Kind of strange what gets to the media.
We had or have 70 miners trapped after fire and its hardly on any of the news...anywhere. Less then 100 miles from me.
I saw it late last night...the miners were in there since Sunday 3:00 am.
Supposedly they are all safe and awaiting instructions after the toxic smoke clears the shafts. People are skeptical after the last mining incident with the wrong info.

Not sure yet if they are all out or not.

Scotty, I read on the news that they all got out. Yup, even two borders down south of you, we read the news you don't receive.
