New camera to abuse (H20 Proof Camera)
Been wanting a digital point and shoot for a while that I can take with me on the ATV's or where ever we go where it's wet, dirty or there is a chance I will drop it. Don't want to take the wife's point and shoot or the digital SLR into those situations.
Got an Olympus 1030SW. Waterproof to 33 meters, can take a drop from 6 feet or so, is "crush proof" and freeze proof. It is small, not much bigger than our Canon Powershot SD1100 IS. It is built like a brick and feels very solid.
I took it in the water on our vacation 2 weeks ago and immersed it in salt water (no pics, water was not clear). It worked great though while standing out in the water getting splashed and taking pictures of the nieces on their boogie boards. When we got back to our rental house, I soaked it in fresh water for about 10 minutes and dried it off. Not a drop of water got in any opening. It has a movie mode and will take pictures up to 10 mega-pixels. So far, I have been very happy with it, can't wait to take it out and abuse it on the ATV's.
If you are looking at a good waterproof camera (and there aren't many out there), take a look at this one.

Still, the size and it being water proof would be great for a lot of outdoor activities.
