Shorts - - this is sorta like the guy looking at a beautiful yacht - - he asked how much it would cost to fill up the fuel tanks. The salesman answered, if you have to ask, you can't afford the boat. Sooooo, don't ask................

Morning all. Love your ride yesterday, Heidi. Just cut it yourself - - I cut mine - - saves enough money to run the swimming pool..........

Wedding and reception late today at the country club. Neat young lady and nice family. Should be fun.

I note no one started anything today - - everyone is in the stupid hot tub. Soooo, coffee, ph00, hot water for Claude, sprinkles (all colors but pink - - ha ha) are on the counter. Me gone. ..................

I was expecting this to happen.
Got a nasty gram from MY insurance company wanting me to pay up for the medical they payed out on. Without the "report", the accident never happened. The annoying thing is, I was led to believe "the other guy's" insurance reimbursed them already.
Of course these thing only arrive on Friday so you can't talk to anyone until Monday.

Morning yall. We've got a busy but good day on tap. Our moving truck arrives this morning. We'll see if things made it through unscathed.
Shorts - one of the wise investments DW and I made was 4 acrylic wine glasses. Glass and hot-tubs don't mix. If you break a glass in there, the glass pieces are invisible under water. Early on when we first bought this house we were in the hot-tub on a windy evening. We only had the cover flipped open (it has a joint in the middle) rather than taking it all the way off. The wine glasses were on rim of the tub where we could reach them easily. The wind flipped the cover over on us, giving us both nasty whacks on the head and shattering both wine glasses. We had to drain the tub the next day to get all the glass out. Break proof acrylic glasses were in residence that same day.

Our tub is in a perfect location for Alberta winter use. When you open the door to the deck off the kitchen you can take one single step and you are on the stairs for the tub. That is nice when there is deep snow in the middle of winter. As for use during cold weather (as Scotty mentions) the problem isn't the temperature it is the wind. We have sat in the tub during big snow falls and also at -40F and had lots of fun. It can be right at the freezing point and strong wind and it is miserable. The wind is the important factor.

I am not sure if you had a hot-tub at your place in DFW but if not and if this is your first one, you are in for a lot of fun. I did learn that if you sit in the tub for an hour (we keep ours set at 102F) and polish off a little too much wine, you will have a very slow brain and fuzzy head in the morning.

Have a good day everyone, I am about to drive 1 mile up the road to the turkey farm to get Thanksgiving fixins....

Good morning all! Happy thanksgiving weekend, at least in Canada. Lots to be thankful for - health, family, friends etc. etc. Not too happy about the $4,000.00 bill we just got handed for a rebuilt transmission in the RAM though.

We are excited about heading South to the Big River RV Park in Cali in about 7 days. Anything to get away from the frozen prairie winters. Just can't handle the withering cold like we could when we were kids, or at least younger.

Cheers All!

had to get it professionally done; opened the wood boiler door too far, too fast. melted and crunchy is not a woman's fashion choice for hair.

yup, hot tubs need advance planning, my two person 300 gallon takes 9 hours to 104 degrees. about 24 extra bucks a month if I run it for two weeks. also agree- wind makes it brutal, glad it is a deep soak tub for hiding.
amazing weather we are having right now, 77 to 45 is unheard of for oct here. another beautiful ride today, no reason, just right.
yes Frontyoilman, you can brag
