midwest storms
It was a bit of a crazy evening. The worst part of the storm was rite on track to hit us and rite as it was getting here it just stopped and fizzled out. All we got here was a lite rain and that was it. As it was comming up out of Nebraska and entering this corner of Iowa it was a monster. At one point in time there was 6 tornados on the ground. some where abought 45-60 miles south of here and headed rite for us. Most tornados are only on the ground for a few minutes then fizzle out but one just kept growing and refused to die. It left a path almost a mile wide and was on the ground for abought an hour. It hit the small town of Quinbee and then proceded to go north and almost hit the town of Cherokee, luckaly it lifted rite as it hit the south edge of town and then set back down a few miles north east of town. I havent heard of any fatalitys from it but I am sure there are lots of farms that got wipped out. The town of Wayne Nebraska was hit by the same storm and recieved major damage to the entire town. There are a few videos of it on YouTube.
Hey Bkrukow,
How do you like your 06 Cherokee? We are looking at one just like yours. It would be great to hear what you think of your before we commit to buy. Going to tow it behind our 2006 Mega-Cab.
Thanks, John
