GA traffic Courts

Anybody have any experience with Ga traffic Courts. I got pulled over in Putnam county, but I have no clue as to how the courts work. I was goin 24 over and am under 21 so I've read that I'm supposed to lose my license. But I have friends that were going faster than that and never lost their license. Wow THIS IS SO FRICKIN FRUSTRATIN!!!

I don't know what your state laws are but have you had any other violations or is this your first? If it's your first, you shouldn't lose your liscence. Might just have to go to a traffic school of some kind, thats what they usually do here. (knock on wood haven't gotten a ticket) but I never go much over 5mph over speed limit... so um yea SLOW DOWN!

well I just got off shift off a code 1 call, and was still hyped up from the call I guess. I wasn't payin attention as I always drive the ambulance fast. I got a ticket with no point 4 years ago and just paid the fine and it didn't go on my license of MVR. I need to knock on some major wood!!!

I assume you're over 18?? Under 18 they'll jerk your liscense...but most times you'll get driving "privledges" for work, or school, or something else that you MUST go to!

I had mine pulled at 17 for an accident...but I got "Work Driving Privledges," with the stipulation that I could also drive FOR work, not just to and from. Little did they know I work constantly

In Ohio, 24 over would be Reckless Operation, so they might pull your liscense for that, don't know!

Good Luck,
Chris

DON'T GO TO COURT...

Pay the ticket, and they will not bother you. if you go to court, then the judge gets to have a looksie at the speed, and then he can make a decision on whether or not to suspend your liscences, but if you just pay the ticket, the sheriffs dept can not take your liscence unless you have done something completely wrong, like a wreck or something.

What I am saying is pay the ticket, and if they take your money and do not say anything about you having to go to court, then that will be the end of it.
