I hate when I am listening to the sweet sound of my Cummins at a stop light and one of those little speakers-with-wheels comes along side and all I can hear is THUMP THUMP THUMP.

PISTOL

Re:Traffic = Road Rage

What I hate - when there is a line of cars in the turn-only lane to get on or off the freeway and some jerk drives down to the front of the line and sneaks in - can't wait in line like everybody else because they are special. What's worse is that some inattentive driver is always leaving enough space for them to slip into or will actually let them in > > >

What is nice is when they try to sneak in in front of me and I casually attempt to put a fender into them. So they call me names and flip me off - but they didn't get in front of me. And I usually wave at them and smile down from my vantage point in my cab - that usually really pisses them off. :-* :-* my big ol' butt.

Re:Traffic = Road Rage

Around Houston they don't want to spend the money for a four lane road in some places, but they will make the intersections four lane. Presumably to give the right turn people their own lane. However, most of the **** orifices (who drive that street every day) will get in the right lane and zoom through the light and expect you to let them back in, when the road goes back to two lane after the light.

For some reason, I forget to pay attention when I go through the light, and take up both lanes. ;D You should see all the people who tell me I'm number one!

Re:Traffic = Road Rage

I hate all the above but what I really despise is what happened to me Sunday evening on the way to get diesel fuel. Some idiot coming at me in my lane and I got no where to go and neither does he. He had crossed the double yellow line in Waverly and was going west in the east bound lane on 460. I saw a head on coming, had already threw the truck out of gear, was standing on the brakes (anti-lock system works very well on my truck), had braced for impact when at the last moment, an opening came up in his lane and he realized how stupid he was and darted back over into his lane (8000 pound truck vs 2200 pound car, hmmmmm). He was not more than a car length away from my front bumper when he moved into his own lane. He was so close, his head lights were already out of sight below my hood. Not that I would have been hurt but he more than likely would have set off my air bags scaring the feces out of me and ruined my remote oil system. That had me more PO'd than anything. I wasn't worried about getting hurt and didn't care about him at all, I was worried about my truck and how bad it was going to get hurt.

(scratched head wondering what that means)

Anyone care to pshyco-analyze that scenario?

Re:Traffic = Road Rage

All the above. And, how about the two lanes where you get two underpowered vans traveling side by side at 55mph blocking all the traffic from passing them and continuing on at the legal 70 mph.
You have to live near Canada to understand the next one. The elderly Canadian citizen comes down across the border and continues to drive on our fine country roads at the posted speed limit. HOWEVER, they obviously didn't see the sign at the crossing that said, in the US, think MPH not KPH. 50 mph is NOT 50 kph.
Or The idiot who is driving up behind you runnin' with brights and not caring that everyone in the opposing lane is flashing at them.
Or, 70-75 mph on the slab and talking on the phone, reading something, looked like notes, or talking to the passenger with great usage of hands and maintaining more eye contact with the passenger than the curve in the road that is rapidly coming up.
Or,
Or,
Or,
How about all the lookie loos who have to slow down and block traffic flow just because there's some minor incident alongside the roadway??

BUT, the ultimate for me is the IDIOTS who won't pull out of traffic flow for Emergency Vehicles. No sir, I just like to run around town with my lights flashing and my siren wailing just for the fun of it.

And then theres ...... Well, you're lucky I have to leave for work or this diatribe would still be running on.....

~Dave

Note: No spell checker was consulted in the drafting and release of this submission!! ;D ;D

Red light runners for 1, I almost got hit by a mini-van last week, I was on foot in the crosswalk, had to jump out of the way. He had ran the turn signal light, never even saw me, I felt the air rush by my leg

Re:Traffic = Road Rage

I hate people for out of town trying to get around downtown.. blocking traffic.. light turns green everyone is fair game, its a race to the next stop light.. Enjoy have this huge truck... most cars come to about the tire.. always have a fear of driving over someone though lol...
I hate people who double park downtown (but its ok for me )
i hate it when people park infront of my driveway and it causes me to go 4x4 over the curb.. I hate people from Wisconsin coming to chicago and doing the posted speed limit when they know that if they move with the flow of traffic which is usually 75mph they will not get a ticket.. I hate people who slow down and stop on the on ramps, i hate people who wait for the green light on the on ramps.. i hate people who ride the far left lane in the loop making it harder for u to get on the toll-way...
i hate having to teach the vallet guy how to start my truck. i hate only have 3 places in my area to fill up on diesel. and on top of it, it cost me $1.76 a gallon.. i hate that I have to go to wrigleyville to get race gas for the Nova and then pay $3.95 a gallon for it..
Wow I like this thread...

Re:Traffic = Road Rage

I just hate city drivers that come out to the country and drive 30mph on a road that the speed limit is 55mph.
And when driving a tractor with a 20ft fold up disc and takeing up a lot of the small country road and then haveing a cityslicker run you off the road and think it is your fault. Here in Ohio if you hit a tractor no matter what you (person in the car) are at fault. I had a guy from cincinnati hit me and he about to sh** when he had to pay for a new case IH tractor.
He got out yelling at me then I told him that he would be found at fault he said no. but he was
@$$ O

Re:Traffic = Road Rage

I can't stand it when people come barreling out of a driveway/parking lot into the road making you think they're going to broadside you, and then pull into the left turn lane to wait for an open space to pull into traffic...espcially when you're trying to get into that left turn lane to do what it was originally intended for--making LEFT TURNS!! Or when stupid drivers don't use the left turn lane to turn left and instead, stop in the middle of the left go through lane and turn from there....then all the unsuspecting drivers behind you slam into your rearend all because some moron missed the "What is the proper usage of a left turn lane?" question on their drivers test... : >
