Who has one? Are you happy with with it? And, how much do they cost?

 

I have one, would not have another diesel without one.Best money I have spent on the truck.Paid $1050.00 and did the install myself.

 

Where did you get yours? I saw one on ebay--they wanted 1300 or so

 

I also have one on my 97. Best thing since sliced bread. Paid $1200 CAD installed with the 7 day timer.

 

I love mine, but it takes a long time to pay for itself when compaired to paying for electricity by pluggin in the block heater. Iwould still get another though!

 

I picked mine up right from the cummins dealer.I just got the on/off switch, figured I did not need the 7 day timer(I am not regular enough for a timer,more ways than one)

 

If you add in the fuel saved from idle time,wear and tear on the engine with cold starts(hard to calculate),not to worry about looking for plug ins when away from home(work truck).

 

can anyone post pics of their install? I would be interested in one of these in the future.

question- how about fuel feed line when you have an airdog or fass and the big line kit? what to do then?

 

ive heard of people tee'ing directly into their fuel draw line-anywhere they can...but not the best idea.

you could always drill the tank & put in your own draw straw. Mine runs out of fuel at 3/8 of a tank because i am pulling from my return line. Sucks to have to keep that much fuel in it ALL the time when its cold....I wish I had a separate draw line.

 

Funny you mention that- If you pull the sender out, the extra fitting theat is caped has a line on it. It runs down the side of the sender. you could add a longer line to it
