Large Family tents
gander mountain or the other outfitters have great tents , I believe they are selling them under the 'hunter guide' type stuff. wonderful quality, 400 price and they have what you are looking for. 2 room with a large vestabule between or 3 room with a kitchen flap for stove pipe. these are four season tents. every bit of 140 pounds. another avenue are the reenactors tents (white canvas).
With tents, I have found it's either the large, lavish & heavy to carry - such as a Coleman, that are modeslty priced. Or it's the expensive, lighter-weight, higher quality units like North Face & (maybe) Eureka. I highly reccommend shopping (but not necissarily buying) at a place like Gander Mountain or Disk's sporting goods. Even better, if you have local specilty shop with knowledgeable people, have them help you look for the right tent. Please don't buy a tent off the picture on the side of the box. That tells you nothing.
Now - the good part. It would be ideal to have these folks show you how to set it up as well. I would buy a tent based off ease of set-up and durability instead of brand of features. Some are quite simple: Others are a real pain - remmeber that it is going to be raining, dark, and probably cold when you go to set it up sometimes - is that going to be way too hard?
Better to have a lot of knowledge in advance than to wish you had something else later.

2nd Cabelas brand. Have a 4 person backpacking tent, so it's not a large one, only 4' tall, but the quality is exceptional for a $200 +/- tent.
Also have a Kelty 6man nylon tent. It was less than $200 on closeout and has held up to some torrential rains and wind. Can't speak to the larger cabin type tents, but those 2 brands have a good value/quality for the price.
Whatever you do don't buy a Coleman (you already said that), or any other Walmart type tent. They wont last.
You want aluminum poles, higher grade Al the better and pay attention to how it sets up. Don't want one that has 10 different poles to get it all put together. Pay attention to how much ventilation it has. If you're in warm climates, you want something with alot of mesh/screen, etc under the rain fly. Opposite for colder weather.
