Places to eat in College Station, TX.

I'm going to an AVO training class in College Station from 11/9 through 11/12. What are some good places to eat there? Nothing like bars or anything but just good eating.

Mexican:
Mi Cocina, I like the one on Bush, but there were 3 others when I left
PaPa Perez in dowtown Bryan
Coco Loco

BBQ:
C & J's is awesome

Burgers:
Chicken Oil, Dixie Chicken, Fitzwilly's, Koppe Bridge

Steak:
Take 60 to Snook, and eat at Sodolak's, you won't regret it

There are a ton of chain restaurants to avoid.

Like MikeyB said way too many to list. College Station is easy to get around in, one of the few places i've been to that's overwhelmed with college kids but easy to get around in. Go down Tx.Ave. and you will find many places if that doesn't suit your needs just stop and ask any college kid.

Good deal, I'm there for 4 days so I'd say this list will put a few pounds on me. Thanks for the help!

Make sure you find the Longhorn Tavern, downtown Bryan. Just recently moved into an old Coke bottling building. They are known for their chicken fried steaks. DO NOT order the large, unless you got a big hunger and some time on your hands. If you into good steaks, try Beef Masters. We call it Sodalack's. Hwy 21, just east of 6 on the left. Those boys make some serious steaks. And if you have a little time, Google Plantersville and The Relay Station. It'll be about a 45 minute or so drive. Home of the 85 oz. steak. Free if you eat it and all the trimmings.

Wings N More, Chicken Oil Company or Dixie Chicken, Los Nortenos Downtown Bryan, Sodolacks on Hwy 21 or in Snook, C&J's, The Feedbarn on Fountain Ave, Laynes Chicken.

Christophers world grill or Cafe Eccel if you need to really impress somone with a fancy dinner.

Ive never been much of a fan of the longhorn or mi cocina.

Man, I forgot about feedbarn, that place rocks. Hampton Cafe in Bryan also makes a killer chicken fried steak. JCodys has some good BBQ and steaks. Find Pepe's if you want to clean yourself out.

Yes, there is Christopher's, but no they don't butcher anything on site. Nobody does. I believe beef must be USDA inspected first. It's more of a hoity toity gourmet restaurant. You'l spend alot of $$$ fast for not very much
