Too true!

I've lost count of the times that God has indisputably operated in my life - the small things He does are especially cool... gives us a glimpse of how much He really cares for us in minute detail.

Pretty cool that He doesn't only show up when we desperately need Him!

I know this is a prayer thread, but i thought i would say alittle about our answer to prayer.

My 24 yr old son has been rebelling from his family and GOD for some time now 3-4 years) with drinking and the not going to church.

he has been living here and there with whoever would put up with him, and a couple weekends ago there was a big party and evedently things got out of hand and they kicked him out.

So this left him without a place to sleep, a car ( has demolished 2 jeeps in drunkin 4 wheelin redneck trips in 2 years) and almost no friends ( they had all kicked him to the curb as he is a mean drunk).

Well he called me and asked if he could come home and start going back to church and that he was done with all of the things he had been doing, and all of the people he had been hanging around, and he knew that he had to stay away from them and the booze.

This all left my wife and I between a rock and a hard place as we already have living with us our daughter and grandbaby of 1 1/2 yrs old, we only have 3 bedrooms.

Soooooooo we are now building a bedroom in the atatched garage and he has been going to church and staying home helping me on the farm and in the barn with mechanic chores.

Praise the LORD for hearing our prayers as we have praying that he would keep working on him and pull him through this struggle.

Please keep praying for him and us that we may always lift up the LORD and give him the glory, and to keep my son strong.

Darwin,
Great story - - sad when the kids won't listen to "been there, done that, don't do it" but they think we don't know anything. Glad he is back home. Get him in a good singles Sunday School class where he can meet good Christian friends that will give him some grounding and companionship. Sounds like he needs new friends. Make sure someone in that group that is mature knows his background and can sort of guide him to the right ones to be around. I will be praying with you for him.

Darwin, you have my prayers. Bob gave some good advice.
May he straighten up now and not feel the need to rebel or sow any more wild oats. May the Holy Spirit give you the guidance and firm loving hand that he needs now.
May God bless both of you abundantly.

Thank you so much brothers, it has been going on a month and my son is doing great, we have his room done, he is becoming the son i had before the bad influence of peers and the devil won him over, but please keep holding him up in prayer as this long road is very curvy and rough.

Thanks Dar

Stan, Will now being seen by a professional and his bipolar disease is now being treated. He still is using a little but I think he will soon be entering a treatment program, because he wants to change. He's made allot of progress and we're hopeful that it will continue. Nate has now had 2 surgeries and the cyst is still reforming. The surgeries also set him back a little developmentally, but not too far. He's having a little trouble remembering to potty before he goes in his pants. I'm hopeful that will correct itself in time. If the cyst continues to act like it has at least one more surgery will be needed to place a shunt under his skin that will allow the cyst to drain into his abdomen where the fluid will be absorbed by his body.

So in other words, both of them still need our prayers. Please remind me as to how old each of them are.

My wife's family is in need to some prayers. She has a 10 month old nephew( actually a great newphew, it's her 18 year old nephew's son), he was diagnosed with an acute form of leukemia. He was hospitalized wednesday because he quit eating and having an extended belly. Tests confirmed leukemia and a white cell count so high that the dr's thought his organs would start shutting down without treatment. As of today he is doing ok and is now at a childrens hospital in Chicago. He will be needing a bone marrow transplant. Never thought a 10 month old would have cancer.

Rick, will continue to keep Will & Nate in my prayers. Just made a new prayer list and added them.

Matt, have added your wife's nephews son to the list too. Do you have a name for him? Makes it easier to pray for him. Please keep us posted on his progress.

BTW guys and gals, I am a very firm believer in the laying on of hands and divine healing, so if you can find someone or a church in your area that does this, take them there. You / they have nothing to lose and everything to gain.
