Just got done reading a report on building a new facility here. They claim to get it started ASAP and have it completed and operational by 2015! Definitely needed but I'll believe it when I see it.

Just curious Rick; why don't they use Geomat and a few inches of gravel instead of 24" of anything else? I'm a great proponent of that stuff. Used it for the first time in a peat swamp in Maine. 0700 hrs we rolled out 2100' of it, were dumping 3" of gravel on it by 0900, and driving 80,000 pound cement mixers over it shortly after noon.

Gotta run, people are returning from break.

Cool, i'm sure being near a yard setting you'll be able to see som einteresting engine that normally don't see road service anymore. Lots of older road engines now see yard and switching duty.

I love the stuff also, as long as someone else is paying for it. The last time I was involved in a project using it, the cost was $700+ per roll. That price is at least 6 years old and I think we used around 9 rolls. The drive here was only 40 feet long. I used one tandem load of 24 and 6 yards of 610. After it sat in the freezing temps and snow that weekend they moved the equipment trailer in with no problems on Monday.
