This place is about as exciting as the morgue tonight. very dead!
How's DTRland doing today? Did some work with my friend today at his shop. He's building a governor assembly for a very old 2 cyl case tractor. Also helped out on another job his business partner was doing. Getting a 1952 Pete 350 running again. It has a brand new NA 885 Cummins in it from 1971 but was never ran. The truck use to have an Iron Lung Cummins in it before the 855 was installed. Might have some temp work there for a while, their shop has alot of work to be done. 2 steam engine, one cat 60, the 52 pete (resto), and various old gas tractors. My friend that owns the shop work fulltime as a mechanic at the steel mill, said he has the ability to get me working again in the locomotive shop the mill has.

evening Blake, have a good night. Try and get some rest one day soon don't need to be too run down. I am glad to see you back at work again and making some money.
Morning all.
Blake, what're you doing watching drills? You're a welder for goodness sake! And a pipeliner to boot!
We're at the Good Dog Lodge, (or something like that), in Traverse City MI, teaching a JFS class today & tomorrow. Quite a place... odd, but different and neat at the same time.
Talk to you all later as I get a chance.

Not on the pipeline it aint. Its money makin day!

Its always good to expand your horizons. Watching the HDD (hydraulic directional drill) and road boring crews. They are making some pretty lengthy bore that we cant open cut and lay the line in. Similar work to that post I made a few months back when we crossed the levees and river with that 24" pipeline. After this work is done, Im gonna run a tie in crew. So Ill get to handle up on the welding then...
Morning yall

Morning folks. I'm back for the weekend, very long week. We've opened, piped and closed about 150 feet of trench this week. We did a small concrete pour Wednesday, about 4 yards ans a 9 yard pour yesterday. As soon as it was broomed we were gone.

Well its about time!!! I've been on standby 24 hours a day patiently waiting for your post. Welcome back T-Rad. While you were gone, I managed to burry the truck again in the yard

Hanging in there Blake, just tired. I have to keep the pressure on, working with "younger" folks. I'm the old guy so I can't let them out work me. The big problem with that is my mind is game but my body doesn't like to show up for the game.
