dec. 17!!!!!

man i cant wait till Dec. 17! I dont know if I will be able to make it to the theatre, but im gonna try! Proble have to wait a week or so till the commotion calmes down.

for those of you that dont know, im talking about Lord of the Rings, partIII.

I always thought this stuff was stupid untill I watched the first movie over a year after its release date. Then I was hooked.

I just hope the last movie lives up to what I am expecting!

Re:dec. 17!!!!!

I was the same way, never read the books. I had a bad impression about it. Bought the first DVD thinking Karen might like it after surgery. I loved it, went out and bought #2. I might try seeing it at the theatre, but am mainly waiting for the DVD. Also didn't think I would like Harry Potter, but I'm waiting for that third one too. Back to reality now.

Re:dec. 17!!!!!

I've read the LOTR books at least five times, much better than the movies (even though they are great, and do the author a great justice). The best part is, when you re-read the books, you always find something you missed before. They're great. I;m looking forward to the 17th as well.
Finding Nemo, another great flick, and Shrek too... Harry Potter, well, if nothing else is one I'll watch it..

I second that. My children have all kinds of the movies and I will sit and watch with them from time to time. They ask me what I am laughing at too. ;D

Re:dec. 17!!!!!

The movies are great but I couldn't imagine trying to figure out what was going on without reading the books. I was really skeptical that the movies would be able to convey enough info without being 3 or 4 hours long. They did a pretty good job but there is still a lot left out. However, if the movies caused 1 more person to pick up the books and read them then they were worth the effort.

Mine's the 15th, when you get tired of that hot tub, you can slide up for a beer... and bring some fresh seafood.

No way, Jose - - I ain'ta coming up there. Not with that funny white stuff coming down out of the sky - - saw it on TV thingy. What is that stuff? ??? ??? And the cars are sliding all over the road! And the people are all bundled up in huge coats! And steam is coming out their nose! What is going on - - ya'll got problems.
You will just have to go catch some nice fresh salmon and bring it down here where things are normal. We will grill it by the pool while we splash. 8) 8) ;D ;D

Re:dec. 17!!!!!

That would require me to give my body some convincing. Years of training to stay away from open water between Dec and April, might be hard to overcome, especially after that time in the Academy they made us each sit in a tub of ice.
Thinking about a trip south around Feb, though.
