Boy those Ford 6.0 owners are dense !

I was over at the forums at trailerlife.com and a Powerstroke owner was looking for advise on an oil leak . He didn't want to hear from the Dodge and Chevy guys . In a later post . He said " I said I didn't want any negative posts ! I'm not getting rid of my truck ! " Guys like that deserve a Powerchoke .

My friend has one that has leaked from day one. He's just happy that he doesn't have any of the other issues like injectors that so many others have.

While we are on the subject of Fords, why is it that SO many Ford guys ride around with cab lights that are half burned out. It looks like crap when only one or two of them work but this doesn't seem to bother the Ford crowd!! I swear over half the Fords around here are like that. I check mine every morning when I start her up.......

The Chebbies with the daytime running lights....wow, how many of those have I fixed. They actually burn the plastic socket that the light bulb sits in. I have had a bunch that you can't even get the bulb out of the socket. You just cut the wires and wire in a new socket, replace the bulb. I still wait to hear about one catching fire.

Oh yeah, Fords!! Yeah, what you guys said!!!!

I had a 99 Chevy that just couldn't keep those running lights working. The other crappy thing about them was the super sensitive sensor that turned them on if I drove into a shadow. Very irritating to say the least....

I have both a Powerstroke and a Cummins.
Cummins is my work truck but anyway to the OP of this thread I have a friend who has a 01 Cummins (no transfer case), a 03 Cummins 3500 (no motor) and today went and bought a 07 Cummins 3500 because he needs a truck for his business !
So I dont know whos dense here but I think if I had 2 newer broke downDodge trucks I wouldnt be buying another one to replace them?
Ad up how much hes got invested in Dodge trucks!

I should have said SOME Ford owners are dense . The one mentioned was determined to keep his truck no matter what the problem was . I'd estimate 80% of RV haulers and hotshotters own Dodge CTD's . I have personally known 6.0 Powerstroke owners that have regretted buying a Ford because of the problems . I constrained myself and did not ask that dedicated Ford owner if he was gay . When people started a boycott of Ford because of the hundreds of thousands of dollars Ford has donated to gay organizations those organizations rallied with a buycott urging all members of the gay community to buy Fords . . Not to offend anyone but to buy an inferior vehicle and have to live years with it to keep donations coming from a manufacturer is just plain dumb . Ford's marketing strategy really worked there . A smart way to buy a vehicle would be to study consumer ratings and use reliability , trade-in value , etc. then buy the best vehicle . Figure how much you saved in less depreciation and lower service costs and donate part of that money to your cause . If a few thousand gays did this and donated $500 each they could tell Ford to go find another group to bribe to buy their junk .

Well I have owned a 90 F-250 7.3 wich I put a turbo on, gotta say that engine was unbreakable, It was on a sled twice a week for 2 years, I even ran it out of oilwhen the return line broke. had over 200K when the tranny went and I got rid of it. Then came the 01 powerstroke 7.3 of course, In 15 months all I put in that was a wheel bearing that was 450$. then I bought my 98.5 cummins, on the list so far is 1. the injection pump & lift pump, put a big line kit in also 2. the clutch, Luks pro gold took care of that. 3. and a new CD player and cruise cont. module. for a grand total of 4200$ Having the pickup I always wanted PRICELESS !!!! I wouldnt trade it for all the money in the world.
