Boy it's good to be home

;D Back from Chicago!
I thought the taxi drivers in San Fran were bad :-X And I don't scare easy. Overall the show went great. Some anticipated problems, some unexpected. Came home with a bad cold. I'm glad I don't live were they put salt on the roads, All the cars over 10 yrs. old I saw had rusted rockers. It makes me proud to own a vintage Mopar with no rust.
Anyway it's good to be back. Now I'm off to poke around and see what I missed.

Salt... yep, it's almost that time again. That fine crust of salt buildup all over the black ram! What a pain to keep clean in the winter....

Tony

Welcome back Wade. That pesky salt keeps us washing trucks year round. Tough when the soapy water freezes before you can rinse it off. Then you have to floor it to break free of the ice it is sitting in. Thankfully they are not using as much salt here now, they found out small gravel provides better traction as the salt doesn't work below a certain temp anyway.

Re:Boy it's good to be home

Thanks for the welcome home, since this has turned into a salt topic.... Do you guys/gals do any preventive steps to keep the salt at bay? I'm going to the desert and plan on driving on the salt flats. The only thing I can remember is... salt first, shot second, lemon last.

Not much you can do except do a real thorough wash under and over when you get back, then do it again!
Note: Quervo gold helps take the crick out of your back when spraying the underbody
