My FIL races these things and these pics are spot on. Although he doesn't race the 200+mph category, his still runs 120mph in the 1/8 mile. It's a pure adrenaline rush.

That is just plain sick! I love boats and drag boats are the best. Never been to a live event but seeing their power on tv would just be amazing in person.

Never noticed this before but the sequence of shots with the yellow boat rolling over, it has twin props but a single engine, very interesting.

Awesome clarity in those action shots.

Yup, called a "W" drive. Been around for a while now. Makes the boats go straighter than a single screw - as long as they are both going forward. Those props turn 19,000 RPM! Big power.
