That is truly sad. I can't fathom either my 10 year old or my 5 year old even picking up a gun let alone pointing it and shooting not 1 but 2 people one of which being the person that is raising them. I'm sure there is going to be someone out there that is going to try to place the blame on TV or video games just because of the child's age. I truly hope that it was a accident or someone else. That is going to be a HUGE scar in that child's life and something that he will never forget.

That is pretty nuts, I cannot imagine my 8 year old shooting me...
What if they were sexually assulting him? Little kids watch tv, they know what a gun is and what it can do.

Seems like there is a whole 'nother side to the story we're not being told about...like the abuse you mentioned, or whatever.
Interesting to see what happens with this one...

I would say if they are looking to prosecute an 8yr old child for this there are some circumstances we can assume puts the boy in a bad place. If there was some abuse involved, they haven't caught on to it yet.

this must be a miss print?
St. Johns police are hoping a judge will agree to try the boy as an adult.
The boy's attorney says police questioned his client without representation from a parent or attorney and didn't advise the child of his rights.
hmmm sounds like the same cops as above
does the usa not have a young offender act?
