Evenin' All!

Workin' a bit of OT tonight. That'll be a nice boost to the paycheck.

I have Family in town and have been real busy playing host. Weather has been good. Sorta. We really need some rain and the little 5 min sprinkles aren't cutting it. Most days are 70-75* and sunny. gonna be some bad fores if this weather keeps up.

Against my better judgement, I let my little brother borrow my truck to haul his FILs 30'+ boat down to Valdez. I told him if he broke it he better not think of comming back. We'll see what happens. I haven't lent him a vehicle in over 10 years. Last time he blew a tranny....... I'm probly an Idiot but who knows.....

Fool me once...

I don't think that I have let anyone borrow my truck... if I did, the smarty would be on SW 0, I can tell you that.

Happy fathers day, all.

If I had a smarty it would be set in the negatives...... However, he has grown up in maturity level quite a bit since he used to blow up my stuff. That and I drive better working stuff as well.... should be OK. If not I might be driving something newer........

Happy Father's Day to all you dads out there. Not me though, at least not that I know of. Speaking of boats, I've been working on a new (1979) jet boat for the last month in the garage. Wish I would have taken a before picture so I could have showed an after. Replaced many many pieces and parts on her. All stainless. Don't want it to rust. Just finished sanding the inside and replaced the flooring, steering, etc.... Now if I could only find a good boat paint to paint the inside. Its all aluminum. Don't know my paints very well, just know that it has to be very durable. If someone wants to chime in on a good durable boat paint, I'm all ears. Never know, I may pass this what was once a fixer upper to my maybe future kids. Then I can have myself a Father's Day.

Now Heidi - - ya did good, except that name will getcha. Claude can't even put a floor down in this place and you have to chew the coffee cause of all the grit in it. But, that is appropriate to name it after him - - after all, it's PAPA'S DAY - - HAVE A GREAT ONE ALL YOU PAPAS. Here's to us.

Hope all have a great day, hopefully around the table with family honoring dad. Wish my gang could be here today - - too far away and one of them is climbing glaciers today. Now that warms the cockles of my heart knowing he could be at the bottom of a crevice - - - - and he is going to be a new father (first one) in another 7 weeks. Oh well, I will just say a prayer for him in church this morning and trust the good Lord will watch over him. He just loves it.

OK grabbing my ph00 and heading in to get purdy and go to church. Have a great one, guys. (you too, girls)

Bob

I already have a piece of critically essential, electrically powered medical equipment... my portable lobotomy machine!

Well looky here, Matt's getting OLD!

Happy Farthers Day to all you old cronies with kids!

STILL no power here. This is getting old fast. And expensive. Went thru 40 gallons of gas yesterday trying to keep everything powered up.

On this day in 1788 - The U.S. Constitution went into effect when New Hampshire became the ninth state to ratify it.

1834 - Cyrus McCormick patented the first practical mechanical reaper for farming. His invention allowed farmers to more than double their crop size.

1938 - In Washington, U.S. President Roosevelt signed the $3.75 billion Emergency Relief Appropriation Act.

1941 - German troops entered Russia on a front from the Arctic to Black Sea.

Remember; Light travels faster than sound. That's why some people appear bright until you hear them speak.

Morning folks! I, like Claude, am in the garage in the land of make believe but mine is air conditioned thanks to the wind mills in my mind. Heading to church in a few, got to run a camera today. The kids are coming by afterwards for a quick lunch and then they're off to do other things. We're going to grill out, have fresh peaches and who knows what else. Hope all you dads get the love you deserve today! Gran Torino is on the DVD player waiting for tonight. Scott, how big is your generator that you would burn 40 gallons a day. You ought to be selling some back to the power company.

We're running 4 generators; 2 @ 10,000 watts each, 1 @ 6500 watts and 1 @ 3500 watts, all pretty much maxed out, all GAS. Too many computers to keep running and keep cool too.
