727 tranny

hey guys i dont have a diesel but i got a 89 dodge w250 with a 318 and a 727 tranny.. i just rebuilt the tranny like 900 miles ago and when its warmmed up and i go to take off the tranny will kick just in first gear... i doesnt seem like its slipping but it kick and makes like a banging sound... it kinda sounds like the vavle body engaging and disengiging.. anyone have any suggestions.. plz help even tho i kno im on the wrong forum

and it will kick in reverse.. any idea what it is?

when you first put it in gear after startup or all of the time? If it is just after startup let it idle in nuetral for a few seconds befor puting it in gear

no when i start it up and drive it it drives fine.. but when its warmmed ypu to opperation temp when you come to a stop then when you give it throttal to move it moves but the tranny will kick and make a nice banging sound.. it feel like the tranny grabs the locks up then grabs again and it does it a couple times
