03 3500 srw 4x4 6spd-6800miles

Friend of mine found a 2003 3500 ctd 3500 6spd 4x4 4 door with only 6800 miles on it, (thats six thousand eight hundred)---for 26000 dollars----sounds like a decent deal to me, What do you guys think?

+1 what getblown said. Is the truck for sale at a dealer, or private party? Whats the truck been doing with all of its leisure time?

Its possible it was sold to someone just to pull a camper on weekends, or sat at a dealer a long time. A friend of mine just bought a 04 3500 drw laramie brand new from a dealer with about 150 miles on it a month ago. Not sure why it was there so long, but he got a great deal and missed out on all the emission bs. I would run the carfax and look it over good.

Good luck,
Nick

its a guy we work with---he has a company rig, so never drives his personal one. He bought the truck then took a trip to the East coast with it, and hasnt used it since, except starts it up every couple monthes and drives it around the shop to warm it up. Said he took it to the Ford dealer the other day to see what they'd give him in trade and they said 24K---Chev dealer said 25.9K-thats how he came up with 26.

I'd say that's a pretty decent price, I wouldn't pass it up if that's what he is looking for.

Sounds like a good deal on the truck. If it were closer to me i would definately consider buying it. Even though my 02 is very nice and dependable, it would be hard to pass that up.

It sounds like a good deal to me. Dealers like to low-ball their offers and make a good profit on the resale.

Excellent deal! My father picked up an 03 2500 auto with 5,700 miles on it back in March for $31k private party.

I can guarantee you that any dealer would be selling it for $31,000+ if they got their hands on it. I'd buy it in a heartbeat!!!!
