Tyler cancelled going to class and is almost in tears from muscle pain and the flu.

BrIan, I don't know quite what the valve cover is made of but once you strip it it looks like pewter almost. You can polish it up (my buddy did his with my dremel) but it takes a lot of work and time. Any word on the head yet?

That sounds like a challenge
Hope you get to feeling better so you can work on it.

Micah, Looking forward to the Dyno Day. Your events are always well run and organized.

For anyone interested!
I switched from Smarty #7/TST #1 .....to Smarty #3/TST #2 and sometimes #3 for daily driving...wanted to be comfortable with that Smarty setting after finding it faster at the dragstrip. Was surprised to find very nice increase in mileage. Just finished a 600 mile test (two half tank fillups) on B20 biodiesel and gained .7 mpg.
Averaged 16.9 mpg. Still .8 lower than my best regular diesel test but a nice increase.

Loads were empty to occasional gross wt.... 75% hwy or rural roads..... some WOT playing!

Yup. My mileage setting is sw#3/tst#1. I'll have to try tst #2.

TST on #1 is probably better mileage but I missed the 'snap' from Smarty on #7 so had to do something to get a bit more umph.
