I did non boosted launched for two yrs... before getting billet shafts! It's still a blast... and Ardmore (very casual) is the place to get a few 1/4 miles under your belt.... base line #'s too.

Got to try it at least once. There will be gasser bracket racers there whose times you can beat!... not to mention maybe a gear rowing CTD or two.

Robert, I did a no boosted launch when I ran a 14.6. Go and run it. It's defiantely a lot of fun.

Oh, and Charlie, you leave on the last yellow.

Tyler, Was bored and checked BCS DTR posts.
2700 posts on their only thread.
Actually not a bad way to do it.
In 6 months that thread will have more posts than you!

Just dawned on my what you said. Are the dual disks really that much????
And most that have them have bgt at least one other SBC clutch before that, right? That's puts them with more in it than a DTT by the time they're done!

Never has so little been said, with so much effort, by so many for so long to so few...

I appreciate everybody's words of encouragement. Im sure between all of us, somebody could pull my (hopefully soon to be) travel trailer back home and Mike's GN trailer would get ME and the "black 3rd gen" back home but who is going to give me the 6-8K for the transmission repair on my only transportation and daily driver?

You guys are relentless!

I know if I play....I gotta be willing to pay.

Just load a milder SW if you want to stay safe...

I'm going to run as much as I can even if the Smarty never makes it out of the box!

I weighed my truck today... OK state scales on Hwy 75.
7440 lbs with me and full fuel. That's 450 lbs heavier than last time I went drag racing in September! Too much stuff in this new tool box for sure! But the box comes out once we get to the track!
Only other thing I've added since Sept is the traction bars. But I've lost 20 lbs since April 9th.
