What I BREIFLY mentioned was leaving Thursday for the drive up....went over like a bad case of flatulance during religious services if you knowwhat I mean! I think part of it is her not wanting to be away while the new foal is still so little...

I am starting to recognize the battels that i just cant win, and i see the signs that this is one of them! Sometimes its just better to go with the river than to swim against the current...

Don't want to end up setting in your own pew. Wifey is going to take the first day off that our youngster is born. May 18th is the actual due date but I think it will be earlier. Like this week earlier or next week the way she is acting.

love venison sausage....

Pack, sounds like we need some side dishes. If mike is bringing fish and sausage, I will bring about 20 lbs of diced taters and peppers....
Maybe yo can find a couple dozen ears of sweet corn?
that would just about fill out the menu!
then a couple of the guys could volunteer to bring some paper plates, napkins or paper towels and cups( hint-hint )

Ok, just to make sure we are kinda organized, what i am seeing so far is:
Mike: a meat dish or fish?
ChrisReyn: skillet-taters..and whatever else he can scrounge up( not gonna bring anymore meat, sounds like Mike and PW got that covered)
PW: supplying some cool-aid type drinks and lasagne/BBQ

is that accurate so far?
I'll bring something for myself to grille... i'll also get the wife to fix some dirt for those who still have room after the turtle & possum soup

my dad & his buddy might tag along... i'll make sure they bring their own stuff

YUK ... that's quite the road trip, Chris. Hope the trip is a smooth one.

Of course with the way this weather is looking ... we may get rained out. The local yokels were calling for a couple storms this week but then keep pushing it off. I didn't invite "Murphy" but he might show up anyway .

We'll keep our fingers crossed and make the call on Friday.

I'm working on the BBQ pit today ... found every rock in the Ozarks right where I was digging . Builds character, right ?

I'll be taking DD up to 14 and then over to 5 highway at Ava and then up to Mansfield to 60 highway. I'll probably leave the house sometime around 10:30. Bet that lift looks good.

Chris I'll try and save that 1 stick of venison summer sausage for ya. I'm going to bring the other one and a box of townhouse crackers of course. Along with some fish. Couldn't get the ones in the pond to bite the other night and I didn't have time to set a trot line so I'll pick up a box of catfish fillets at the packing house. Pistol did you find everything for your propane cooker? I'll bring propane, oil and fish fry meal with the fillets.

Sure did, Mike ... I have a propane tank as well, but don't know how much is in there.

I've got a full one I'll bring. Someone may need the cooker for taters or something. Might catch a coon or possum on the way up to fry.

Hey guys .... just a last minute head check to check on a few "maybe's".

BradB (our newguy )
Satburn (with his burnt piston)
Geico (with his Cummins powered airplane )

Still not sure what the weather will hold for us but unless it's a gully-washer ... it'll be a go (cuz we have a gully).
