Someone have a gear puller? Between the 4 of us we could have a timing set.

Only thing I'd really need out of that set would be the barring tool, although the ratchet and extension would be handy. Everything else I have for valve lash. But if it came in a nice case that said Cummins on it, I could be persuaded otherwise.

hey all you 24 valve guys, I have a friend who has a 01 24 valve, he is running a edge ez on it right now. He would like some more power for pulling his trailer, but not go overboard as he is running a 47re. What should he look at?

Thanks

Kevin

Comp will give him some jam, but will eventually leave him stranded when he toasts his auto. I've heard putting in a valve body and torque converter is as good as throwing horsepower at it, since more will actually get to the ground.

Luke, I'm not sure if the pullers are the same or not. But you have a 12v with a wide open front end, should be easy to find out.

Called Cummins today. $70 for the barring tool. $180 for the DV socket!!!!! and $1100 for a timing set!!!! Never thought Snap-On would be the cheapest place to get something. SO wants $71 for the barring tool and $46 for the DV socket, so I may need to go find a truck. Hey Luke, you still get the Mac discount? Mind finding out what a barring tool is going for through them? Online is $52, but I'm guessing thats AMD. I heard Cummins sold the barring tools for $35. Definitely not through Calgary.

Tate...I will get you the p/n for that kit and snap a pic of it. When I get you the p/n call Cummins in Edmonton and ask for David...I got the whole kit for $85. Its a pretty good deal if u can still get ahold of one.
