Problem........
Problem........
Here's the scenario...
2005, automatic, pulling ~20K up the Grapevine in California.
55ish mph, 200' water temps, 1300ish EGT, 35ish lbs of boost.
Truck has a BD downloader on tow and a juice w/ att on #2, intake and exhaust.
OK, going fine notice the boost is a little higher than normal and all of a sudden...........BOOM !! Hard miss, a loss of power and a vibration.
I put the flashers on and pull over. Truck is running, but missing badly. Shut it down and check codes, P3206 and a 33?>. Not sure what the last thing was but that is what it showed. Checked intercooler boots, all is well. I cleared the codes and started it up. Misses at idle but cleans up above 1500 rpm but has a hard miss/knock.
It seems to run fine, EGT's are good, no fuel in oil, boost is good, has a knock. Power is down, but I also turned the Edge off so that may be the power bit.
Everything seems fine made the trip all the way to Reno, NV, (had to make my delivery). Now I'm not sure what to do with driving it home to take my mods off or take it to Carson Dodge.
Any input ????????
Thanks,
David

If I were you, check out the dealerships in your area that have new lifted trucks, that usually means that they are a factory authorized to 'modify'. I would leave your mods on 'cuz they're gonna know after they plug in their dionostics. They're going to see the previous codes that where cleared, I think. There is always some telltale sign that you had something.
Plus, almost (not everyone) everyone adds a programmer to try and get better fuel millage. That's what you can say.

I would have it checked out first. Might just save your engine from serious damage. Just could be injector gone bad. A scan is all it would take to find out what injector is bad. Could be on your way home in one hour and $600 poorer.
Dun......dun...dun..duunnnn !!!!!!!!
Well just got word from Dodge.
SHORTBLOCK !!!
Something let go inside. From the initial exam they found 2 bad injectors and something wrong inside the engine. They will pull it apart and check everything else out.
Anyone want to give me a ride home.....
