Ok, I give up already!
This may be simple for you Dodge dudes, but for the life of me, I can't get the stupid electrical connector off of my fuel tank sender. I can't really get up in there as I should, but by feel I can't find anything stopping me from pulling it.
Any pointers?

I think the tab lifts up on that one, not push down! Yeah, kind of a pain. I have gotten the senders out fairly easily without dropping the entire tank. I loose the front strap until the nut is flush with the bolt. If it has bolts for the straps, I take the front one all the way out, then put it back in 4-5 turns. Then take the back one all the way off lowering the tank as much as possible. The module is collapsable, so when you get it out and it hits the bed, use two hands and push it together, then it should come the rest of the way out.
On my '03, I worked for well over an hour (yeah, I know some of you are laughing) to pull the little red tab aside (to unlock) and then press and pull and twist and push and press some more and pull and push and twist and
....
Youp! Do what I did when I got fed up. Use a pair of Dikes, cut the wires and install your own connectors from RS.

FMB, great minds run alike.
I was actually going to install a GM Weatherpack connector, but after feeling around up there, I decided I didn't like that I would have to pull this stupid tank again if the hoses came off, so I just cut the plastic line close to the steel and that gave me a great line to attach to without having the tank dropped all the way. For giggles, I did use a mirror and there is a red safety hairpin that you do have to get out before you can pull the sender connector.
Thanks for responding, now all I have to do is bend the SS lines to run along the frame and I'm back in the saddle!

It was a great pain on mine, I never got it off after all. Ended up working on the tank half way dropped, but managed. There is some sort of a lock tab there, I could not find it in the confines of the space, so could not disengage it.
