No Backup Lights On My '08
Ok Yall
In a bit of a head scratching bind. Just noticed that the back up lights on my '08 are not working. Bulbs are good, fuses are good. Figured it may be the back up light switch. Anyone have any ideas where its at. Tried finding it on the bodybuilder files but have a really really slow internet connection where Im at and cant accomplish anything there.
Any other ideas what it may be.
I did wire in a push button starter recently and have checked all of that wiring and everthing is secure and looks good. Dont really think that would have effected anything though. Everything else on the truck is functioning fine.
Im gonna double check the fuses and bulbs again make sure I didnt over look anything, but right now Im kinda at a loss. Stop/tail/turn work also.
TIA for the help!
Blake

Did double check the fuses. There all good.
Now for the switch, im not quite sure where its located. I see a switch on the steering column that I think may be it, but im not sure. Gonna peck away at it some more tomorrow.
Thanks for all the input, I appreciate it.

Factory warranty is out 40,000. I sure hope they honor my extended warranty like they said they would. Went by today, was told the transmission solenoid controls the reverse lights. Its almost 400 bucks. Gonna let the dealership fix it I guess. Thanks for the help fellas.

Thanks Buzz
Just came from the dealership. The TIPM (Totally intergrated power module) was indeed bad, but that did not fix the backup light problems. They will warranty the TIPM.
When the EJA turbo timer plug is unplugged from its steering column location the back up light work... Hooray!
But now all kind of other things are whacked out. The tranny is not communicating with the truck, it will start in gear, will no register what gear its in, and many other things.
Techs are still working on it and they have promised that if its a Chrysler issue they will warranty. I personally spoke with the tech and service manager and they are being very helpful and straight forward, of course, so am I and the respect someone who is honest and not a jerk.
They did say its possible that the TIPM went out and caused all the problems. Looks like it could also be the Edge. Just a waiting game for me now.
Have a bad feeling this is gonna cost me a ton of money. If it is the Edge I wonder if they would step up to the plate. Even the tech said that the install on the Edge was done properly, that it would have been an internal failure if anything.
Wish me luck. Right now Im just a loving my '90.... stupid smart trucks and all there smart wiring....
