I know this isn't a fix, but joining the 2-4-6 club is another option.

I've been skipping 3 but thats pretty tough to do around town. I have to get 2nd up to at least 2500rpm to go into 4th at 1000 and lug it. Never tried 4-6

ok so 90% of the time it grinds even if you double clutch.
