Angry Need a Trans.

Well I bit in the Edit this weekend and lost my overdrive and lock-up
so I think that it's time for a new trans.
I dont want to start a war BUT I need a trans ASAP so who's got a good fair price on trans
I pull about 4-6000lbs 4 maybe 6 times a month so a little over stock but not to crazy.
What kind of reports from the guys on ebay they claim 1700.00 for a rebuilt/ reman with a tc.
I got 200125 miles out of this one with no mods.
It's a 2 wheel drive 3500 with the 46/47 rh.

Hmm
You know I have a tranny from an eBay guy out of Phoenix. They even installed it. Cost me about 3500 and lasted a whole 3 weeks but that’s a long story I won’t bore you with now. Beware of eBay transmissions. Remember you get what you pay for. New tranny from DC was 3200 without a TC. You can find them LKQ but who knows how many miles are on them or how they were kept up. I had another tranny built by Dave Georend last year and it runs like a dream but what I had done was very expensive but like I said you get what you pay for. Oh FYI he gave me a 100k warranty on it as well. Not many will do that on a tranny. DC is 12/12 when a dealer installs it.

Goerend brothers, they are in ohio.
Dtt transmissions.

If I had an auto I would go with a Goerend. Best warranty in the buisness. They have a lifetime warranty on some of their transmissions.
DTT is a good name also.
Just Google them.

STAY AWAY FROM PHOENIX ON EBAY THEY ARE JUNK!

I was checking around just last month for a rebuilt(I know, I know, I have a 92 but was checking into the 95 47rh to upgrade...) and found the Dodge dealer can install their factory reman for about $2500 including labor(here in KC...cost may vary from dealer-to-dealer so check around). Complete w/converter and o/d unit. The reman's are supposed to have all new internals plus the latest upgrades. Probably nothing truly hi-performance, mostly factory upgrades based on dealer/mechanic feedback, but should be plenty good for normal driving/towing, right? 2 mos ago Dodge upped their warranty to 3yr/80,000mi w/100% parts AND labor(if they install). One good thing, warranty honored at any DC dealer nationwide and fully transferrable. Just another option...BTW I found a good used 95 transmission on ebay, works great!! So there are good deals/bad deals on ebay, caveat empor. Bought motor/trans together from a engine fire, then sold the motor for more than the cost of both motor/trans, plus the cost to pickup 700mi away, so my ebay transmission was actually free and I made a little to boot. Wish I could do THAT everyday!! ;-) I would have gone with the dealer reman had this deal not come along. Good luck with your decision, hope whatever you decide works out well for you!!

The last time I went to Dave Georend’s shop and spoke with him it was still in IOWA and AMEN to stay away from the place in Phoenix on eBay been there too and done that one as well unfortunately. Best person I’ve ever met on these transmissions is Dave.

HELP
Well you may not have roached your trans... OD and lockup are pulled in with solenoids and there are several things that may have happened to the wires or the solenoids. Oh and I'll shoot you a PM with some transmission parts quotes later this afternoon.
