lost prime

Need help, lost the prime in a motorhome with a 5.9L. The question is the motorhome is in the driveway on a incline. I have tried everthing to get this primed. Does anyone think it being on a incline is part of my troubles. Can use your help?

Carefully, with one person cranking and one responsible person at the air intake with some starting fluid. While cranking give a very tiny shot of the fluid into the intake, the engine will catch and rev slightly, you'll probably have to do it about three times. Be very carefull with the starting fluid, it's not your motors favorite fuel and can definetely mess you up if use too much. But usually it's all it takes to get things cranking and primed again.

i read on hear about pressurising the fuel tank with a compressor. with air behind the fuel, it forces the fuel into the pump. You will have to do a search to find it, it was some time ago.

we use this trick to prime all are diesel trucks big and small. get a rag and soak it in gas, hold the rag on the intake tube and have someone crank the motor. hold onto the rag cuz it will suck it up if you are not careful. works everytime and doesnt vapor lock the cylinders like ether does
