Lost Prime I've Tried Everything

This whole problem started with a simple fuel filter change. When I loosened the filter the stud came out of the fuel heater and I lost the prime to the tank. I reinstalled it an it is not leaking but I cannot get any fuel out of the bleeder or injectors. Ive tried to pressurize the tank and pump the lift pump but I cant get anything. Any Ideas?

Did you fill the filter with fuel prior to reinstalling it? I'd say hit it with some ether.

try loosening three of the injector lines and then crank it till it starts to sputter then tighten those lines and crack the other three and do the same. she should fire then

Does the lift pump piston feel stiff?
If not, rotate the engine 1 turn and try it again. The pump may be up on the lobe.

Been there done that. The first time I changed the filter, I positioned the engine where I was sure it was right. Spent the whole afternoon trying to prime with the lever on the lift pump, and repositioned the engine repeatedly. I gave up and ordered a new lift pump. I went back out the next morning and simply bumped the engine with the starter and used the primer. After a couple of trys (without even worrying about where it was positioned) I pumped the lever and fuel went spraying from the bleeder valve. The engine is very picky about where the pump will prime from.

thats how i found out i had a dead lift pump. if youve got the bleeder cracked open and you prime the lift pump you should definitely be getting fuel and air somewhere(more fuel than air if all you did was swap filters).you might crack your lines at the banjo bolt where the fuel supply lines to the injection pump go into the fuel heater too that way you can verify theres no fuel to the i.p. if nothing works still give me a holler
