Lost Prime

Lost Prime
I have a 1994 Dodge 1 ton with 55,000 miles. I had never had any trouble with it. It started immediately everytime.
Then one morning it wouldnt start at all. It turned over just fine but never even tried to fire. I checked the fuel shutoff solenoid and it is working as advertised. Is it possible for the lift pump to fail and allow the injector pump to totally lose its prime?. Any help with this would be appreciated

Do a search on that topic. Its a real good chance its the fuel return line that runs back to the tank. Its snaked up behind the fuel filter. It gets small cracks in it from being so close to the engine. Sometimes just giving it a quick visual check wont due, you have to bend it around in order to see the cracks.
