i tried to start me truck and it would start/ so i wiggled some wires around the injection pump and it started but i noticed that i was leaking fuel from the injection pump. it was coming from right under the throttle lever is there something easy i can do please don't tell me pump is bad i need help

 

Sounds like the seal is bad, probably due to a worn bushing. That's not uncommon on a high mileage pump. You can fix it yourself, the part numbers are in the tech facts section up top. For directions, go to the 1st gen forum and look at the sticky for "3200 RPM spring", that will tell you how to get the pump top off.

Replace those stupid push on connectors with ring terminals, it will save you a lot of hassles in the long run.

 

i have the part number for the seal kit. but the bushing does not come with the seal kit. does anyone know what the part number is for the throttle shaft bushing.

 

You might want to ask that question over in the 1st gen forum. Maybe somebody who's done it can dig up their reciept and tell you.
