Fuel leaking from back of fuel filter.

I have fuel leaking from the back side of the fuel filter. The cap is tight. It appears to be leaking from the fuel lines. Can I just tighten up the connections or could this be something else?

Still Have the stock lift pump.

i'd check the 4 little soc hd cap screws that hold the lift pump on the filter cannister first... hard to see back there. Get a good shop light and a mirror and check it out first..

The lift pump could be leaking. Or the o-ring seal between the lift pump and the filter canister.

I had mine leak last week, turns out I had the cap on too tight, removed it, checked gasket, and re installed hand tight, no leaks at 19 psi idle fuel pressure.

No chance you are double gasket'ed, right?

I did that once on my 01, took me a while to figure that one out.

No, just the one. Does any one know what the torque is for the cap?

I have been having the same problems, and my pump was also leaking. The dealer replaced it today with the in tank version under the Cummins warranty.
