Best guess is your fuel lines to the pump cracked when you took them off, allowing air in.

I would start with replacing all the rubber at the front with diesel rated and see if that doesn't fix it.

Cool

Thanks I will check its just so odd I put a o ring on the back of the pump where the lines go in and fixed that leak about 10 months ago, everything was fine governor shaft started leaking but no starting problems fixed the leak and caused another problem with fuel leaking back.

Welcome aboard!

I will say it again...If you have one leak on your IP, then replace ALL the O-rings at the same time.

More then likely, as you have been finding, that one O-ring repair has led to another, and another, and probably more. The O-rings are old, and when one starts to fail the others are usually not far behind.

That is what I am finding out. First the rear of the pump then the front or governor shaft now I notice fuel pin is leaking or I think is. It is leaking out what looks like a vent on the rear of the pump will that let the fuel leak back and cause on start?
